Satyajit Ray had not planned to make a sequel to Pather Panchali, but after the film’s international success, he decided to continue Apu’s narrative. This follow-up picks up where the first film leaves off, with Apu and his family having moved away from the country to live in the bustling holy city of Varanasi (then known as Benares).

Satyajit Ray’s Apu Trilogy: This film is a part of a Trilogy with Pather Panchali at 1:00pm and Apur Sansar at 5:30pm. When movies that are screening in the same theatre are grouped under the same thematic heading, one ticket is good for all features when viewed back-to-back on the same day (except as noted).

Event Parking Information
$5 parking is available to film series goers courtesy of 600 Congress. Conveniently located one block from the theatres. The parking garage entrance is on 7th Street, between Congress Ave and Colorado Street. Pull a ticket when entering the garage, then purchase the $5 QR code voucher from our Box Office/bar to use when exiting (or you will be charged the $10 evening rate.)
