This film is a part of a Double Feature with Bicycle Thieves. When two movies that are screening in the same theatre are grouped under the same thematic heading, one ticket is good for both features when viewed back-to-back on the same day (except as noted).

Directed by Charles Burnett.
Henry G. Sanders, Kaycee Moore, Charles Bracy, and Angela Burnett.

Director Charles Burnett examines the African-American community in 1970s Watts through the eyes of Stan, a sensitive dreamer who is growing detached and numb from the psychic toll of working at a slaughterhouse. Shot on location in Watts over a series of weekends on a budget of less than $10,000, Burnett’s film is a triumph of independent filmmaking that has only recently received the attention it is due.
