Led and curated by singer-songwriter/violinist Carrie Rodriguez, Laboratorio is an annual four-part concert series hosted at the iconic State Theatre in Austin, Texas. Laboratorio is an immersive live performance experience that celebrates and explores Latine culture through world-class musicianship, visual arts, and storytelling. Each show features the all-star Laboratorio house band, led by Rodriguez, in collaboration with different guest artists. For our second annual Navidad Edition, we’ll be collaborating with the world-renowned all-women mariachi ensemble, Flor de Toloache!

Latin Grammy®-winning and three-time Grammy®-nominated New York-based group Flor de Toloache continues to win the hearts of both progressive and traditional mariachi music fans through their distinct artistic vision and sophisticated interpretation of traditional mariachi instruments. The quartet is led by co-band directors Mireya I. Ramos on violin and Shae Fiol on vihuela. Together, they have graced international stages from India to New Zealand, Japan, and many more. They have extensively toured and headlined shows across Europe, Mexico, and the U.S., and have been supporting acts for Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys' new project The Arcs, Alicia Keys, Mon Laferte, Café Tacvba, Lila Downs, Los Tigres del Norte, Ana Gabriel, Sting and Shaggy, Thundercat, and Natalia Lafourcade. Expect a night of eclectic, soulful, and genre-bending music, including some specially curated and arranged holiday favorites in both English and Español.
